Shimla, the beautiful Hill Station, became a favourite retreat in the times of the British Raj , with gentleman and ladies enjoying garden parties, grand dinners, balls and evening promenades along the Mall. Several British landmarks, including Christ Church, the Cecil Hotel and Gaiety Theatre came up along the ridge. In 1903, the Kalka-Shimla railway started making the hitherto arduous journey up the mountain far less arduous and even today the quaint toy train chugs up steep slopes carrying eager tourists for spectacular views and a taste of history.

Day 2 Delhi: Full day sightseeing tour of New & Old Delhi.
Day 3 Delhi to Parwanoo: Drive to Parwanoo en route visiting beautifully laid out Mughal Gardens at Pinjore. Overnight stay at Timber Trail Resort.

Day 4 Parwanoo: Transfer to Kalka railway station to board the Kalka to Shimla, Narrow Gauge Railway for a 3 night stay.
Day 5 Shimla: Morning visit to the famous Mall Road, Vice Regal Lodge, Christ Church and Himachal State museum.
Day 6 Shimla: Day at leisure. (Optional excursion to Kufri & Wildflower Hall at an extra cost).
Day 7 Shimla to Delhi: Transfer to Kalka railway station to board your train to Delhi for an overnight stay.
Day 8 Depart Delhi: Transfer to the airport and depart for onward destination.

Day 1 Arrive Kolkata: Upon arrival in Kolkata (Calcutta) you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Your city tour includes visit to the Fort William, Victoria memorial, the Indian museum, St. Paul’s cathedral, Birla Planetarium and the Botanical gardens.
Day 2 Kolkata to Siliguri via Bagdogra: by air. Transfer to Kolkata airport. Fly to Bagdogra, met and transferred to Siliguri for overnight stay. During the afternoon visit the New Jalpaiguri loco shed. See engines, some of which were originally built in Glasgow.
Day 3 Siliguri to Darjeeling: board DHR, 88 Kms/8hrs. Morning transfer to New Jalpaiguri railway station. Depart on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Your car will run parallel to the train, giving you ample opportunity to take photographs by changing the ride between the car and train. Upon arrival at Darjeeling you will be transferred to your hotel for a 4 night stay.
Day 4 Darjeeling: The beautiful hill station Darjeeling at an altitude of 7,000 feet called the ‘Queen of the Himalayas.’
Day 5 Darjeeling: Visit Ghoom Monastery to see one of the largest statues of the Maitreya Buddha, Himalayan Zoo and Natural History Museum.
Day 6 Darjeeling: Day at leisure to explore Darjeeling at your own pace.
Day 7 Darjeeling to Calcutta via Bagdogra: by air. Transfer to Bagdogra airport and fly to Kolkata. Travel to onward destination.
