Day 1: 10 Days Honeymoon Vacation in Vietnam/Arrival Hanoi

We are greeted with a warm welcome at Hanoi Airport and transferred to hotel where we can check in from 2 pm. Located in the centre of the capital city, the hotel enhances the sightseeing experience and the opulence of the hotel sets the tone for this romantic honeymoon. The rest of the day is free to spend at leisure and embrace this boutique retreat, which suits such a memorable occasion, or we can venture out to explore the streets of Hanoi and soak up the local atmosphere.

Note: All customers arriving at Hanoi Airport, International Arrival Hall (T2) is advised to walk outside and proceed to Pilar 15, where Asian Trail's guide/driver will be waiting with a signboard.

Day 2: Hanoi, Half Day City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, we commence our half-day sightseeing tour of this exciting hub to get to grips with Hanoi's history. Hanoi is steeped in culture and history and we start with a visit to Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, followed by his former residence so we can learn more about this much-admired revolutionary leader. A stop at the One Pillar Pagoda gives an insight into Vietnam's Buddhist origins before we continue to the Temple of Literature and the bustling Old Quarter. Lunch is at a local restaurant where we savour Vietnamese delicacies before returning to the hotel for a pampering session to really relax and unwind.

Day 3: Hanoi Ha Long Bay
Departing from Hanoi, we head to Ha Long (Tuan Chau Marina) via highway (approximately 2.5 hours). Here our romantic escape steps up a notch as we board a joint-in boat to enhance the experience in this magical place. Cruising through the Gulf of Tonkin in style, we absorb the sublime scenery that has made this a must-see global destination. We will pass rugged limestone islands clad in jungle. Our journey includes stops at Tra Bau area which is known as an area famous for its unspoiled, poetic natural beauty and attractive seascape of Lan Ha Bay. There is the possibility for kayaking to discover the truest beauty of the limestone islands, or immerse yourself in the emerald green water of the bay. Enjoying sundowners back on deck, a gourmet fresh seafood dinner is then served.

Day 4: Ha Long Hanoi Hue
We start the day with a traditional Tai Chi class on the sundeck, set against the serene backdrop of the bay. Afterward, we continue our cruise through the breathtaking scenery, with the opportunity to explore Trung Trang Cave, one of the most impressive natural wonders on Cat Ba Island. Breakfast is enjoyed on board, followed by disembarkation at Ha Long Wharf to transfer to Hanoi airport for our late afternoon flight to Hue. Please note: The cruise itinerary is subject to change based on weather conditions, operational decisions by the cruise operator, or regulations issued by port authorities. Day 5: Hue, full day sightseeing and home dining
After breakfast, we are then ready for our discovery of ancient Hue, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was once home to princes, princesses, high- ranking mandarins and rich families who occupied private residences across the city and shaped Hues elegant way of life. Our guided tour takes us to Imperial City, the base of the Nguyen Dynasty between 1802 and 1945. Next, we hop on a dragon boat to cruise along the poetic Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the most ancient architectural structures for religious worship in Hue. After sightseeing the rest of the day is free to spend at our leisure and make the most of the resort facilities. Late afternoon, be invited to a private ancient house, learn about family traditions, and cultural practices. Join hands to cook dinner and enjoy it in a family atmosphere. Take a scenic drive to the ancient village in the surroundings of Hue. Walk leisurely through the countryside to immerse yourself in the local lifestyle, capturing photos as the sun sets over green fields and flower gardens. Stop by to visit some local handicrafts or hidden temples if interested. Be welcomed into an authentic ancient house where you will not only learn how people live but also assist the host in preparing dinner with typical cuisine and specialties. Enjoy the dinner in a rustic yet relaxing family atmosphere. An herbal foot bath from garden plants will be a special treat of the day.

Day 6: Hue Da Nang/Hoi An Walking tour in Hoi An Ancient Town
We depart after breakfast for Da Nang and travel on the winding Hai Van Pass, which offers spectacular views of the sky and sea. In the afternoon, we head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An for a walking tour of this ancient destination that oozes romance. A former prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries, we visit Tan Ky Old House, Fukien Assembly Hall and the ancient Japanese Covered Bridge. We also observe locals who raise silkworms and produce silk for Hoi Ans burgeoning textile industry. Lunch and Dinner are charged to your own account and overnight at hotel in Hoi An.

Day 7: Free Day at leisure
Spend the day exactly how you please. Whether this is sunbathing on the beach, taking a dip in the pool, or heading out to explore. Optional activities can be booked such as a cooking lesson to acquire Vietnamese cooking skills at a cooking school in nearby Hoi An, which can be reached via a leisurely 25-minute cruise along the Hoi An River. You can observe local life on the way and browse the shops in Hoi An on arrival. You can also explore the local culture with a visit to the Cham Museum, which houses an extensive collection of sculptures dating back to between the 7th to 15th centuries, or view the temples and pagodas at Marble Mountain. For diving enthusiasts, there is the chance to explore the underwater world with a scuba trip.

Day 8: Hoi An - Da Nang Ho Chi Minh City
Relax until we depart for a transfer to the airport for late morning domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Here we are met by a guide to discover this dynamic and cosmopolitan capital as we embark on a sightseeing tour, soaking up Chinatown with its colourful Binh Tay Market that sells an array of exotic ingredients. Next, we visit the ornate Chinese Thien Hau Temple before continuing our city tour that includes the Reunification Palace also known as the Independence Palace, the beautifully preserved French colonial-style General Post Office and the stunning and iconic Notre Dame Cathedral. We then check into a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and stay in a deluxe room, where the rest of the day is free to spend at your leisure. Lunch and Dinner are charged to your own account.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City Mekong Delta, Ben Tre
After breakfast, we head south to Ben Tre province in the Mekong Delta, which is famous for its coconut production and quiet, peaceful waterways. Your Mekong Delta adventure begins with a scenic transfer from Saigon to Ben Tre, a journey of more than 2 hours. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the picturesque Ben Tre province, where Mekong Delta life unfolds in a tapestry of vibrant culture and stunning landscapes. Start with a short village walk before boarding a day cruiser for a scenic 30-minute river journey. Explore Bao Island's coconut gardens, visit a traditional coconut processing facility, and enjoy a 4-kilometer bicycle ride through Huu Dinh village, including a stop at a centuries-old brick-making factory. Glide through the tranquillity of the region's small canals on a rowing sampan, visit a local family, and savor tropical fruits and honey tea. The adventure continues with a tri-motor cycle ride through narrow village roads, followed by a delicious 5-course lunch at Mangohome restaurant. Gain insights into rice wine and rice paper production at local homes before concluding your tour in Ben Tre city. This comprehensive 5.5-hour excursion offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and culinary experiences in the Mekong Delta. Your day concludes with a transfer back to Saigon, another journey of more than 2 hours, allowing you to reflect on the rich experiences of your day in Ben Tre.
