Day 3: Luxury Antarctica Expedition Fly the Drake Passage
King George Island, Antarctica
King George Island, the largest of the South Shetland Islands, serves as the primary gateway to Antarctica, located just 120 kilometers from the Antarctic Peninsula. Despite being 90% covered by ice, the island hosts year-round and summer research stations for over 10 different nations, whose presence allows them membership in the Antarctic Treaty. While scientists maintain a small presence, the island is teeming with wildlife, including Adlie, Chinstrap, and Gentoo penguins, as well as Weddell and leopard seals. Named in 1819, the island remains part of the British Antarctic Territory despite overlapping claims by Chile and Argentina

Day 4 - 7: Antarctic Sound, Antarctica
An Antarctic voyage is an unparalleled journey into one of the planet's most remote and extreme wildernesses. Located at the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula, the Antarctic Sound will be one of your first encounters with this majestic, monochrome kingdom. Named after the first ship to navigate it in 1902, the Sound offers a sensory assault of imposing iceberg slabs broken away from the disintegrating Larsen Ice Shelf. Here, you'll come face-to-face with arena-sized ice islands and witness extraordinary wildlife thriving in the cold, including colonies of Gentoo penguins hopping around and cape petrels sweeping overhead. This journey is an adventure in its purest form, offering rare views of a continent in its unrestrained glory.

Day 8: South Shetland Islands, Antarctica
The Antarctic Peninsula is the most accessible part of the mainland, located just 480 miles across the Drake Passage from South America. Close by are the South Shetland Islands, an archipelago governed by the Antarctic Treaty that hosts research bases and teems with wildlife, including elephant seals and crowds of Gentoo, Chinstrap, and Adlie penguins. King George Island is the largest and most hospitable, hosting the majority of the research stations. You'll find extraordinary adventure here, from sailing into the magnificent collapsed volcano caldera of Deception Islandwhere you can hike its lunar landscapeto seeing Elephant Island, famous as the site where Ernest Shackleton's crew miraculously survived a winter in 1916.
