Day 2: Cochin
After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Cochin and witness the Kathakali dance show. Start your day in the charming Fort Kochi area, where youll find remnants of the colonial period. Key Attractions here include the Chinese Fishing Nets, which are iconic to Kochi; these large nets are used by local fishermen and provide a scenic backdrop for the morning light. Visit St. Francis Church (closed on Sunday), the oldest European church in India, originally built by the Portuguese in 1503, where Vasco da Gama was buried before his remains were moved to Lisbon. Continue to Santa Cruz Basilica, a beautiful and historic church built by the Portuguese in 1905, known for its striking architecture and serene surroundings.
Then visit the Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace) (closed on Friday), a historical palace built by the Portuguese and later renovated by the Dutch, now a museum showcasing murals, royal artifacts, and the history of Kochi's monarchy. Later, take a leisurely stroll along Marine Drive, a popular promenade with views of the backwaters, and enjoy the cool breeze. Day 4: City tour of Munnar
Today, after breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Munnar for a delightful experience, showcasing the stunning landscapes, tea plantations, and rich biodiversity of this charming hill station in Kerala. Start with a visit to Eco Point, a scenic viewpoint located about 15 km from Munnar. It is known for its breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys, offering a tranquil environment ideal for relaxation and photography.
Next, visit Blossom Garden, a beautiful park situated around 3 km from Munnar town. This well-maintained garden features a variety of flowers and plants, making it a lovely spot for nature lovers and families to spend some peaceful time.
Continue your exploration of Munnar with other attractions such as the lush tea plantations, where you can witness the region's iconic greenery and perhaps learn about the tea-making process. Day 5: Munnar to Periyar by surface (Approx. 120 kms / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Periyar, located in the scenic Western Ghats of Kerala. Periyar is renowned for the Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. This stunning destination is celebrated for its rich biodiversity, lush green landscapes, and a variety of eco-tourism experiences.

In the evening, enjoy a Kalaripayattu performance ancient martial art form of South India. Known as "kettuvallams," these houseboats are crafted from eco-friendly materials and provide a unique blend of comfort, tradition, and natural beauty, offering a serene way to explore the region's enchanting backwaters.
Upon arrival at the houseboat jetty, youll be warmly welcomed by the crew with a refreshing welcome drink. Settle into your comfortable cabin and get ready for an unforgettable journey.
