04 Feb 22 Depart the UK for your overnight flight via Amsterdam or Paris to Tokyo
05 Feb 22 - Arrival Tokyo, Upon your arrival at Narita International Airport, meet our representative outside the arrival hall - they will be holding a sign with your name. Enjoy a convenient, hassle-free shared shuttle transfer to your hotel.
On arrival at your hotel, you will be provided with an IC card to be used for buses and trains with 1500Y value already loaded.
06 Feb 22 - Tokyo Highlights Full-Day Private Tour
Meet your guide at your hotel and hop on public transit to Meiji Shrine, your first stop. Afterwards dive headfirst into the pulsating centre of Tokyo's youth culture, exploring some of Tokyo's latest trends and fashions in Shibuya.
Next, visit Kokyo Gaien, the plaza gardens outside the Imperial Palace. Home of the Imperial Japanese family, see this classic Japanese castle surrounded by a moat and beautiful simplistic greenery. Then, head to Asakusa District. A jolt to the senses, leave behind the ultra-modern bustle to discover the quiet side streets of this traditionally styled district. Finally, finish your day with an incredible panorama of the city, at the Tokyo Skytree. before heading back to your hotel.

09 Feb 22 - Arashiyama & Kyoto Full-Day Private Tour
Meet your guide and use the included transport passes to take the JR Sagano Line to the Arashiyama area. The district is located at the base of the Western mountains and is one of Kyoto's most popular sightseeing districts. Begin by visiting Tenryu-ji Temple Garden, ranked first among the Five Great Zen Temples of Kyoto. Enjoy the gardens' fine blend of aristocratic tradition and Zen culture, displaying the beauty of the four seasons in its design.
Next, head to Daikaku-ji Temple, once the site of an Imperial villa but converted into a temple in 876. The temple is surrounded by one of the oldest artificial lakes in Japan and has been occupied by several emperors. Then, move on to Kinkaku-ji and Ginkaku-ji, arguably the most popular temples in Kyoto. Kinkaku-ji, also known as the famed Golden Pavilion, is an iconic symbol of Kyoto, rising above its reflecting pond like an apparition. Ginkaku-ji Temple has magnificent halls and gardens, with a tremendous viewpoint over
the entire temple compound

11 Feb 22 - Travel to Hiroshima/Miyajima Island Full-Day Tour
At a suitable time please make your own way to the station. With your JR Pass, catch a bullet train 90 mins from Kyoto to Hiroshima today.
You will need to take an early train for your morning tour at Hiroshima. On arrival at Hiroshima, please make your own way to your hotel where the tour will begin.
Discover more of the ancient and more recent history of the city of water, Hiroshima on this unique day tour.This morning, meet your guide before transferring by public transit to Memorial Peace Park. Hiroshimas tribute to its tragic past and hopes for the future. Visit the Peace Memorial Museum next, whose exhibits display artefacts and photographs of the bombing and its aftermath. Despite the severity of the subject, the museum itself is not about being divisive or placing blame, but serves as a reminder not to take peace for
granted. Once finished, have some free time for lunch before riding the train to the ferry to cross the shore to Miyajima Island. This island is an ancient holy site, a sacred and beautiful national treasure of Japan. Featuring stunning Shinto shrines, Buddhist pagodas and temples, spectacular natural beauty, and charming Edo-style walkways, the island offers a slice of ancient Japanese culture. Arrive at the main complex Itsukushima
shrine, a lovely family Shinto shrine founded in the 6th century. At high tide, it appears to be floating above the water, in addition to its floating torii gate, the iconic Otorii. This massive gateway is one of the most photographed structures in Japan.
You'll have free time to explore more of the Island now. before it's time to bid farewell to Miyajima and return to the mainland, before heading back to your hotel.

12 Feb 22 - Travel to Osaka
Please make your own way to the station. Using your Japan Rail Pass, you will board a shinkansen from Hiroshima all the way to Shin-Osaka, often nicknamed the kitchen of Japan. The journey will take approximately 1h38minutes.
From Shin-Osaka you will need to board a local train to reach Osaka station. Use the Rail Pass to take a JR local train on the short journey from Osaka to Shin-Osaka today.
13 Feb 22 - Free Day at Osaka
A full free day at leisure to further explore Osaka and its surrounding area.
14 Feb 22 - Depart Osaka
