Day 1: Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Meet and assist by an Emeco representative. Transfer by a/c coach to the hotel. Check-in and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Cairo

Full-day tour to visit the Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis & Sakkara. The Pyramids and Sphinx are ancient wonders, with the Great Pyramid of Cheops built from about 2.3 million blocks, each weighing around 2.5 tons. Its interior burial chambers are open to visitors. Near the pyramids stands the Great Sphinx of Giza, carved from yellowish limestone, combining a pharaoh's head with a lion's body, measuring 65 feet high and 187 feet long, dating back to Pharaoh Chephren (2620 BC). Memphis, the capital of Upper and Lower Egypt around 5,000 years ago during the 1st Dynasty, was home to the great white-walled palace and the Temple of Ptah built by Menes, the first pharaoh. Sakkara, about 12 miles southwest of Cairo, is a key archaeological site dominated by the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the earliest pyramid in Egypt, designed by the architect Imhotep, predating the Giza pyramids by centuries. Back to the hotel and overnight.

Day 3: Cairo

Full-day tour to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque & Khan Khalili Bazaars. The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located beside the Giza Pyramids, is set to be the world's largest archaeological museum. It will showcase over 100,000 artefacts, including all 5,000 treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb, many displayed for the first time within a monumental design that blends history with modern innovation. The Citadel, perched on the Mokattam Hills, served as Egypt's power centre for nearly 700 years. Begun in 1176 and later completed by Muhammad Ali Pasha, it housed Mamluk sultans and Turkish governors and remains one of the world's greatest medieval fortresses. Within it stands the magnificent Mosque of Mohamed Ali, or Alabaster Mosque, built in the 19th century with soaring twin minarets, the tallest in Egypt. The tour also takes you to Khan El Khalili, Cairo's historic bazaar since 1382, where antiques, handicrafts, traditional coffee shops, and local restaurants create a vibrant meeting place for both Egyptians and visitors.

Luxor
Often considered the world's largest open-air museum, Luxor is home to the majestic temples of Karnak and Luxor, as well as the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings. It offers a journey into the heart of ancient Egyptian civilisation, with the tranquillity of the Nile as a backdrop.

Day 4: Cairo/Luxor

Transfer to Cairo domestic airport for flight to Luxor. Arrival at Luxor airport and transfer to board the Nile cruise. Check-in before lunch. Lunch on board. Excursion to the East Bank. The Karnak temple complex is about 3.5 km from Luxor Temple. Within its area, the grandest of all temples is dedicated to the great Pharaonic god, Amun. Leading to the temple is a procession of ram sphinxes that represent Amun. Although begun in the Middle Kingdom, the temple's vastness comes from successive dynasties that built on it. Luxor Temple: Separated from the Nile only by a street, the Luxor Temple sits in the city's centre. The temple's main purpose was as a secret location for Amun, the lord of the gods. The Luxor Temple was built by Amenhotep III in the 18th Dynasty. The temple's most distinguishing features are its interior rooms with magnificent inscriptions and hall of columns, each one capped with crowns of lotus flowers.

Day 5: Luxor / Esna / Edfu

Excursion to the West Bank for visits to the burial places of the Pharaohs - the Valley of the Kings - where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922. Continue to the adjacent Valley of the Queens, the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. The Valley of the Kings includes the tombs of the Theban rulers, such as Seti I and Tutankhamen. The mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, the only woman Pharaoh to rule ancient Egypt. Then, you proceed to the Valley of the Queens to visit the burials of some royal consorts and offspring. A panoramic stop at the Colossi of Amenhotep III, named by the Greeks.

Aswan
Aswan is a city in southern Egypt, located on the banks of the Nile. It is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, historical significance, and cultural heritage. Aswan is famous for its high dam, which created Lake Nasser, essential for controlling the Nile's floods and producing hydroelectric power. The city is also home to ancient sites, such as the Temple of Philae dedicated to the goddess Isis and the Unfinished Obelisk, which stand as a testament to ancient Egyptian engineering. Day 6: Luxor/Edfu/Kom Ombo/Aswan

Departure and transfer to Aswan, including visits to the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo. Aswan, located approximately 899 km south of Cairo, is a peaceful destination in the Nile Valley where the Nile is more majestic than anywhere else, flowing through granite rocks and emerald islands covered with palm groves and tropical plants. It is considered a popular winter destination. Aswan also offers a rich cultural experience: you will discover Nubian culture and buy spices, henna tattoos, souvenirs, and African handicrafts at the Aswan souk. The Temple of Edfu is composed of traditional elements from Egyptian temples of the New Kingdom, as well as some Greek elements, such as the Mamisi, located west of the main entrance to the temple (Mamisi means house of divine birth). It comprises an entrance, a courtyard, and a chapel. The walls of the Mamisi are decorated with scenes depicting the story of the divine birth of the child Horus, in the presence of the goddess Hathor, the god Khenum, and other deities associated with pregnancy and birth. Program scenario and description The temple has a pylon that is considered to be the tallest among the Egyptian temples still in existence. Standing 37 m high, it is decorated with battle scenes depicting King Ptolemy 8th defeating his enemies before the god Horus. The Temple of Kom Ombo, as we see it today, was built in Greco-Roman times on the ruins of a much older temple called Ber Sobek, or the house of the god Sobek. Much of the temple at Kom Ombo, including the hypostyle hall, was built during the reign of Emperor Tiberius, from 81 to 96 BC. Construction of the temple then continued for over 400 years, during the reigns of Emperors Caracalla and Macrinus, until the middle of the 3rd century AD. Visit the Aswan High Dam (completed in 1971); the Old Dam (completed in 1902). You will also visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, a structure rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam's construction. The High Dam, Just north of the border between Egypt and Sudan lies the Aswan High Dam, a huge rock-fill dam that captures the world's longest river, the Nile, in the world's largest artificial reservoir, Lake Nasser. The dam, known as Sadd El-Aali in Arabic, was completed in 1970 after 10 years of work. Philae Temple: A short trip on a motorboat will bring the visitor to a magnificent vista of the island, before landing at what would have been the ancient quay on the south side. The temple was dedicated to the goddess Isis and has many legends connected to it. The most well-known legend tells the story of how Isis found the heart of Osiris here after his murder by his brother Seth. Felucca trip around Aswan Island (panoramic view only).
