Cape Town is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast, on a peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain. Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbor and boats heading for Robben Island in Table Bay. The notorious prison that once held Nelson Mandela is now a living museum. The place to have good food and drink good quality wine.

Queen Victoria Hotel
What sets the Queen Victoria Hotel apart from other hotels at the world-renowned V&A Waterfront is undoubtedly its position. Located within a precinct of heritage buildings along Portswood Road – a main artery leading to and from the Waterfront – the Queen Victoria Hotel gives you a sense of being within the Waterfront’s vicinity but removed from the frenetic pace of it.

The advantage of this is that, while staying at the Queen Victoria Hotel, you have easy access to the Waterfront – the shopping precincts, the harbour, the restaurants and other must-see attractions – yet you are positioned away from it, in a relaxed, secluded enclave that overlooks majestic Table Mountain, the City Bowl, Cape Town Harbour and the Atlantic Ocean.

Situated next door to Dock House Boutique Hotel
