USA

Introduction

The USA is a land of many contrasts with Florida the theme park capital of the world to Las Vegas the gambling city that never sleeps. There are Great Lakes and great nature with natural wonders such as the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park and many more. The land is vast with cities that differ just as much as the landscape from the Big Apple - New York and the nations capital Washington DC in the East to Chicago the gateway to the Great Lakes and onto San Francisco and Los Angeles in the West. For that Polynesian dream holiday, the Hawaiian Islands await you.

Places to Visit

Getting to and Travelling around

The first step to a successful holiday is to book the right flights that suit your needs and with Travelpack you have many airlines to choose from with daily services to most destinations. We offer direct flights from every major UK airport along with flights via a US gateway. You could take advantage of an indirect flight and break your journey to make a two-centre holiday.

Travelling around the USA is effortless, hire a car or campervan and tour the country at your leisure, travel by train on the AMTRAK network or join an escorted coach tour. We can arrange a scheduled/private transfer to and from the airport and of course don\'t forget the world famous yellow taxis.

Best Time and Weather

The US climate varies considerably from the Southern sun belt to the frozen North, so take your destination into account as you pack your suitcase. During the summer months it is warm almost everywhere apart from northern New England, Oregon and Washington State. In California and Florida temperatures can drop to freezing point in December, January and February, yet cold spells never last long and can be followed by a heat wave. Be prepared for every eventuality.
