Introduction

San Antonio is famous for the Alamo, first on the list of most visitors to the city. Much of 18th Century San Antonio has been very well restored. The city is beautifully landscaped and this combined with the picturesque Spanish-colonial buildings, makes it visually very appealing. The San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium is an excellent zoo, and the Witte Museum focuses on Texas culture, history and the natural environment.
