Day 1 Saturday: New York
Depart London Heathrow to New York
Arrive in New York and transfer independently to the hotel for a welcome meeting with the Tour Director. Overnight in New York.
Day 2 Sunday: New York
This morning enjoy a city tour of New York which includes some of the most famous sights of Manhattan. Catch glimpses of the famous skyline and absorb the bustle and energy of the Big Apple. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in New York.
Day 3 Monday: New York - Finger Lakes - Niagara Falls
Today, drive across New York state through the Finger Lakes Country and towards the Canadian border, arriving at one of the worlds natural wonders, breathtaking Niagara Falls. Indulge in a spot of wine-tasting at Watkins Glen, on the shores of Lake Seneca. Spend the evening at the romantic Niagara Falls. Overnight in Niagara Falls.
Day 4 Tuesday: Niagara Falls - Amish Country
This morning you will have time to explore the Falls. Perhaps take a ride aboard the Maid of the Mist (optional). Join an optional trip to Skylon Tower for lunch at its revolving restaurant, hovering 775 feet above Niagara gorge. Depart Niagara and travel into Pennsylvania Dutch country, also known as Amish Country. Overnight in York.
Day 5 Wednesday : Amish Country - Gettysburg - Washington D.C.
This morning travel through the Appalachian Mountains along the picturesque Susquehanna River, the longest river on the American East Coast. Visit the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground, site of the largest battle ever fought on American soil. From here, continue to the nations capital, Washington, D.C.. Optional evening tour and dinner in Georgetown. Overnight in Washington, D.C.
Day 6 Thursday: Washington D.C.
Enjoy a city tour with highlights such as the U.S. Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the F.B.I. Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute or simply stroll the banks of the Potomac River. Overnight in Washington, D.C.
Day 7 Friday: Washington D.C. - Philadelphia
This morning, we continue our journey to Philadelphia, the "City of Brotherly Love" and the birthplace of America, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776. Visit Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell on a city tour. This evening enjoy an optional dinner at one of the cities most famous venues for the local delicacy of Philly Cheese Steak. Overnight in Philadelphia.
Day 8 Saturday: Philadelphia - New York
This morning we return to New York City, where our tour ends.
