Haridwar - Rishikesh : the sacred twin cities lie at the foothills of the Himalayas, the point where the Ganga reaches the plains. One of the most popular destinations of spiritual tourism, Haridwar is the gateway to the other Himalayan pilgrimage shrines -Rishikesh, Badrinath and Kedarnath. These twin cities are one of the most sacred cities for Hindus ,where one takes a soul purifying dip in the holy river Ganges at Har Ki Pauri Ghats( bathing places for pilgrims) and we visit Kankhal Temple complex near Haridwar and Ashrams & Yoga learning centres in Rishikesh.
Dharamshala : Dharamshala stands at the foot of Dhauladhar Himalayan Mountains and has a magnificent view of snowy peaks, deodar and pine forests, tea gardens and beautiful hills. The snow line is perhaps more easily accessible at Dharamshala than any other hill station in India.
Dharamshala now really has become international, with a number of Tibetan settlements and the residence of Noble Laureate the 'Dalai Lama'. Dharamshala is devided into two distinct parts Upper Dharamshala (Macleodganj) and lower Dharamshala where we visit the monastries of Norbhulinga & Karmapalama.
Amritsar : Amritsar, a popular tourist destination of Punjab, is located in the northwest region of India and well know as the home to the religious building " Golden Temple " and important pilgrimage to the Sikhs. Amritsar is said as the 'holy pool of nectar' and is the spiritual and sacred place for the Sikh religion. The city was founded by Guru Ram Das Shahib under the instruction of Guru Amar Das Shahib in 1574.
Itinerary:
Day 1 : Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Upon arrival welcome, meet and assist at airport by our representative and Transfer to Hotel. 1400 Hrs: Standard check in time
Afternoon to Akshardham (without guide) - closed on Monday. Overnight stay
Day 2 : Delhi to Haridwar by train Shatabdi express: 0650-1125 Hrs
Transfer to railway station in time to board train for Haridwar. 1125 Hrs: Arrive Haridwar
Upon arrival meet and assist at railway station and transfer to Hotel.
Evening visit Har ki Paudi ghat for Aarti ceremony. Overnight stay
Day 3 : Haridwar / Rishikesh / Haridwar by surface
Haridwar to Chakki Bank (Dharamshala) by Kolkata Chitpur - Jammu Tavi 1957-#0540 Hrs
Morning excursion to Rishikesh
Bharat Mandir - It is the oldest temple in Rishikesh. The image installed here has a distinctly Himalayan cast of features. Through the temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu, it holds a number of image normally associated with the worship of Lord Shiva. Triveni Ghat - The Ghat is an interesting place to be at dawn, when people make offerings of milk to the river and feed the surprisingly large fish. Kailash Niketan Temple - This is the main temple at Lakshman Jhula. Lakshman Jhula - The suspension bridge Lakshman Jhula was built in 1929 to replace a rope bridge. This is where Rama's brother Lakshmana is said to have crossed the river on a jute rope. Shivananda Ashram (The Divine Life Society) - Founded by Swami Shivanand, is a well-known ashram and the society has breaches in many countries.

Upon arrival meet and greet at railway station and drive to Dharamshala, check in at Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay
Day 5 : Dharamshala
Morning visit McLeodganj - upper Dharamsala housing the exiled government of
Tibet headed by its spiritual leader - H.H. The Dalai Lama. Afternoon visit
the Monastries of Norbhulinga & Karmapalama
Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 6 : Dharamshala to Amritsar by car (approx. 210 Kms, 6 Hrs)
Morning drive to Amritsar. Upon arrival check in at Hotel.
Afternoon excursion to Wagah border to witness change of guards ceremony
between India and Pakistan armies. Overnight stay
Day 7 : Amritsar to Delhi by train Shatabadi Express: 1655-2305 Hrs
Morning visit Golden Temple - the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. The Golden Temple sits on a rectangular platform, surrounded by pool of water called the Amrit Sarovar after which the city is named. Jalianwala Bagh - Here on 13 April 1919 British Indian Army soldiers under the command of Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer opened fire on an unarmed gathering of men, women and children and killed 379 people. Durgayana Mandir - The Durgiana Temple complex was built in the 16th century, dedicated to Goddess Durga. The Temple is situated outside the Lohgarh Gate; one can walk away from the Golden Temple complex through the narrow passage to visit Durgiana Temple.
Durgiana Temple closely resembles the Golden Temple and also Known as Lakshmi Narayan Temple.
Transfer to railway station in time to board train for Delhi. 2305 Hrs: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival meet and greet at railway station and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay
Day 8 : Depart Delhi
12 Noon: standard check out time. Transfer to airport in time to board your onward
flight.
