Totem Peaks
Explore hundreds of kilometres of gigantic forests, crystal-clear lakes and snow-capped mountains of Western Canada, taking in the highlights of Vancouver and Victoria. Amidst the stunning scenery runs the Inside Passage, a legacy from the glacier era. This grandiose corridor of cliffs, greenery and ice opens onto Vancouver Island, one of the most beautiful islands on the North American Pacific Coast.

Day 1: Arrival in Vancouver
Arrive Vancouver International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Pick-up your Jonview Canada Roadbook at the front desk
and check-in. Remainder of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 2: Vancouver
You will have the entire day to tour Vancouver and the surrounding area. Some suggestions: Stanley Park, the MacMillan Planetarium, Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Island, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain and Stanley Park. Overnight in Vancouver.
Activity: The Pacific salmon begin their journey to the inlands of the Pacific Coastal Rainforest hundreds of miles out to
sea, braving predators, powerful currents and tiered ladders to arrive at the glades of this pristine area of the British Columbia coast. Luckily, with the Rainforest Adventure Tour, your travels won’t be so arduous. An experienced guide
will lead you from the wilds of your hotel to the natural cathedrals, pillared by 500-year-old trees and translucent canopies hundreds of feet above you. Marvel at the dizzying heights of the Capilano Canyon.

Day 3: Vancouver to Pentiction
Scenic drive to Penticton in the Okanagan Valley, known for its lush orchards, beaches and hot, dry climate. Overnight in Penticton.

Day 4: Pentiction to Revelstoke
Morning at leisure to enjoy the Okanagan Valley. Then drive past spectacular waterfalls, towering peaks and beautiful lakes en route to the Revelstoke area. Overnight near Revelstoke.

Day 5: Revelstoke to Banff
Drive through Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass en route to the Canadian Rockies. Yoho National Park marks the provincial border and meets Canada’s first national park here. Kicking Horse Pass is sure to be a scenic highlight of the park. Before you continue on to the bustling resort town of Banff, we suggest a visit to Lake Louise. Overnight in Banff.

Day 6: Banff National Park
Entire day is free to tour Banff and the surrounding area. We suggest a visit to Banff Natural History Museum. You may also try river rafting or take a boat tour on Lake Minnewanka. Overnight in Banff.
Activity:This exciting 4-hour whitewater paddle raft excursion on the Kananaskis River is a wonderful introduction to
rafting, and fun for the whole family. The Canadian Rockies provide a dramatic backdrop as a professional river guide helps you navigate through wonderful mountain scenery and the natural history of the area. Rated as Grade 2-3 level whitewater. River gear, change tents, and beverages are provided.

Day 7: Banff to Jasper
Drive to Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway. We suggest a stop at Peyto Lake en route. Enjoy glorious photo opportunities of snow-capped peaks, waterfalls and alpine meadows as you travel this route considered one of the most scenic drives in the world. Overnight in Jasper.
Activity: Prepare yourself for the experience of the Columbia Icefield, located on the boundary of Banff and Jasper
National Parks. Covering an expanse of 325 sq. km and reaching depths of up to 320 m, this impressive icefield forms one of the largest masses of ice south of the Arctic Circle. Venture directly onto the Athabasca glacier in a specially-designed Ice Explorer with guided commentary. A unique icy adventure!

Day 8: Jasper to Prince George
The Yellowhead Highway meanders past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies, and descends into the vast forests of northern British Columbia. Follow the northern arm of the Fraser River through the Cariboo Region. Overnight in Prince George.

Day 9: Prince George to Smithers
Travel the rugged wilderness terrain of the interior mountain ranges. Overnight in Smithers.

Day 10: Smithers to Prince Rupert
Follow the scenic Skeena River Valley to the active port city of Prince Rupert. Overnight in Prince Rupert.

Day 11: Prince Rupert to Port Hardy (Cruise)
Enjoy a full-day ocean cruise on board BC Ferries along the British Columbia coastline. The famous Inside Passage cruise terminates in Port Hardy. Overnight in Port Hardy.
*For departures with the Inside Passage sailings before June 3 and after August 30, the cruise will depart in the afternoon and overnight will be on board the ferry in your selected accommodation type. The cruise will end in the morning at Port Hardy where you independently transfer to the airport for your flight to Vancouver.

Day 12: Port Hardy to Campbell River
Travel the eastern shore of Vancouver Island to Campbell River, a focal point for sport salmon fishing. Overnight in Campbell River.

Day 13: Campbell River to Victoria
Continue along the coast, past quaint seaside towns such as Courtenay, Qualicum Beach, Parksville and Nanaimo. In Duncan, visit the Quw’utsun’ Cultural and Conference Centre and in Chemainus, you can see the famous murals. As you approach Victoria, British Columbia’s capital, you will travel along the scenic Malahat Drive, which affords generous vistas of the water and the Gulf Islands beyond. Overnight in Victoria.

Day 14: Victoria to Vancouver
Before you leave Victoria’s charms and the beauty of the Inner Harbour, we recommend you visit Butchart Gardens, a magnificent display of flowers and shrubs set in an old stone quarry. Enjoy a mini-cruise on BC Ferries guiding you around the many Gulf Islands, through the Strait of Georgia to mainland British Columbia for some last-minute shopping. Overnight near Vancouver International Airport.
Activity:This coastal excursion is an exhilarating round trip of 50 to 80 kilometres in search of orcas, minke whales, grey whales, porpoises, harbour seals and other marine wildlife. You will ride aboard a regular covered boat with commentary by a certified marine biologist and naturalist.

Day 15: End of Tour
Check in at Vancouver International Airport for your departure flight.
