Introduction

Located in the Central Kootenay Region, Castlegar sits at the meeting of the Columbia and the Kootenay Rivers, which flow in from the north. From Castlegar, the Columbia River flows south to the USA. This small city has a big community spirit situated beneath the magnificent peaks of the Selkirk and Monashee Mountain Ranges. Castlegar provides an abundance of local arts, crafts, produce and local shops to cater to every need. A range of restaurants with an array of ethnicity providing flavours to suit every taste.

Location: Nestled halfway between Vancouver and Calgary and situated at the intersection of highways leading to Nelson, Trail, the Slocan Valley and Grand Forks - each within an hour's drive in a different direction.
